The Space Science Lab has traversed considerable distances over the years, and this particular milestone signifies significant progress for the project.
Last year we had some ups and downs, trying to avoid the "asteroids" so to speak on the project and in everyday life. So, as with everything, setbacks and delays have occurred but that's just life. Regardless, a lot of progress has been made.
Currently, we stand on the cusp of the next frontier, preparing our warp drive for the light-years ahead. Our focus extends beyond mere propulsion—we're undertaking enhancements to the very fabric of our website. From refining code structures to polishing aesthetics, we're committed to elevating the user experience and addressing any lingering technical issues and, and above all, creating entertaining space videos.
Production Workflow Optimization
We are optimizing our content workflow to focus more effectively on simplifying production of articles and videos, aiming to reduce overwhelm and improve efficiency, ultimately leading to higher-quality YouTube videos.
Our revamped process involves a structured approach, from ideation to upload:
ideation>article draft>improved draft>proofreading>script>video production>editing>render>upload
In our current workflow, we initiate by drafting an article, which serves as the groundwork for structuring the video script, ensuring coherence and clarity throughout the process, significantly aiding in the production.
Previously, our workflow lacked organization, resulting in delays in video production. With this new workflow, we aim to address these challenges by implementing a structured approach to navigate the production process effectively.
Once the new workflow is further implemented, Lab will be prepared to deliver a variety of new high-quality episodes. We anticipate producing episodes of optimum quality consistently and on schedule.
In the topic sector of our workflow, we've got recurring themes that will be churned out from us such as
Continuing with our Space Photo of the Day series. We're also expanding this to include Earth Photo of the Day and Mars, alongside 360-degree and panorama shots.
Exploring space science topics like Webb science.
Emphasizing contemplation of the universe.
